We are a group of people that want to create new woodlands the length and breadth of the UK and if possible further afield. We are all aware of the need to reforest areas of the country and the reasons why so here is the opportunity to help.
Could today be the day that you become a part of helping to save the planet for future generations?
There are a lot of ways that we can help the environment some complicated, but there is one that is extremely easy and that is to plant more trees, and that is just what we intend to do, hopefully with YOUR help.
We want to be able to buy pieces of land so that we can plant a woodland that can be used for families to enjoy. Learn about tree recognition, or how to forage for food, learn about food forests and learn some bushcraft skills there will be lots to do on each piece of land that we are able to purchase.
We will also look to combat stress particularly in Veterans who may be suffering from PTSD.
So what do you need to do?
You can help by going to our Crowdfunding page and donating to the cause by picking the level of donation that you are comfortable with and donating as little as £2.00. You will be able to click on the button below in the near future.
Our first piece of land will be in North Yorkshire and has been identified, we just need to raise the money to be able to buy that land. We are also in talks with a local company that can help us with the grant process that will hopefully allow us to get some money to purchase the trees.
In essence, Create a Woodland will work as the entity that will look for the funding to purchase land and to find the Stewards that will look after and take over the land in question.
The land will be provided to businesses that meet the criteria of what Create a Woodland would like to see happen on the land but will remain the property of our organization. This can be Bushcraft, Survival, Permaculture, Forest schools, and other such businesses and we are of course open to suggestions.
Generally, many restrictions are placed on the people that rent woodland which on many occasions prevents them from fulfilling their aspirations.
Create a Woodland will change this trend effectively opening up woodland that will benefit families, create employment opportunities, and benefit Nature and the future of our planet.
Our first project will be in North Yorkshire where the Rugged Outdoors will be our Stewards and pilot the scheme, they are an established family business and are the founders of this project.
Stewards will be required to help with future projects to ensure that as we gain momentum we will have a solid network of fundraisers
If you are interested in becoming a steward please get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org
Our woodlands will include the opportunity to camp, and to learn new skills such as Bushcraft, willow weaving and growing food to name but a few
